All about Sandra’s (Saxon Reef) dive site
Sandra’s at Saxon Reef is a Cairns outer-reef site with coral gardens, bommies, and reef-wall sections. It has a friendly, colourful feel, with enough structure to keep both new and experienced divers engaged.
What to see
Garden eels, anthias, anemonefish, soft corals, hard corals, butterflyfish, parrotfish, turtles, and reef sharks may be seen. Smaller life may include nudibranchs and shrimps.
When To Go Diving
June to November is generally the clearer, drier season, while water temperatures remain comfortable year-round. Expect about 24°C in winter and up to 29°C in summer.
