Blue Pearl Bay sits on Hayman Island in the Whitsundays and is known for coral gardens and accessible reef diving. Its sheltered bay setting gives the site a polished, island-resort feel without losing the pleasure of close reef encounters.
What to see
Coral gardens, schooling fusiliers, giant trevally, turtles, cuttlefish, batfish, and reef fish are associated with the site. Hard corals and bommies give plenty of structure for slower observation.
When To Go Diving
It is best dived in settled weather, especially when wind and tide favour the bay. Water is usually warm year-round, ranging roughly from 24°C in winter to 29°C in summer.
