Wreck
SS Moltke is a historic Magnetic Island wreck in shallow water off Geoffrey Bay. The wreck is around 50 metres long and has become encrusted with hard and soft corals, creating an accessible wreck-and-reef dive.

What to see
Large sweetlip, batfish, tuskfish, barramundi cod, epaulette sharks, corals, and reef fish may be seen around the wreck. The shallow profile makes it especially suitable for patient observation.
When To Go Diving
Calm conditions and high tide are usually preferred, with night dives often considered rewarding. Water is warmest from December to March and cooler from June to August, broadly within the tropical Queensland range.
