When to Go

The best time to dive in Apo Reef, Coron, and Tubbataha varies slightly due to their different locations and climatic conditions:

• Tubbataha Reef: The ideal diving season is from mid-March to early June. This period offers calm seas and the best underwater visibility. Tubbataha is only accessible via liveaboard during these months due to its remote location in the Sulu Sea.
• Apo Reef: The best time to visit is between December and May, during the dry season when the waters are calmer and the visibility is higher. Apo Reef is known for its vibrant coral gardens and diverse marine life.
• Coron: Coron is best visited from October to June. The dry season, particularly from December to March, offers excellent diving conditions with clear waters and calm seas. Coron is famous for its World War II wreck dives as well as its beautiful coral reefs.
