Since 1993, Acuatic Tulum has been sharing the unparalleled beauty of the Mexican Caribbean and the cenotes with visitors to Tulum. At a time when Tulum was nearly virgin, Alex Alvarez opened his dive shop near the Mayan Archaeological Site on Tulum Beach. Today, he is a famous cave diver and explorer who works with National Geographic and Instituto Nacional de Anthropologia e Historia (INAH). His team offers recreational and technical diving excursions and courses under his direct training at the new shop with the old name: Acuatic Tulum Dive Center.

Acuatic Tulum
Location We are situated on Avenida Coba, (heading towards the beach in Tulum) directly across the street from the Red Cross clinic in Tulum, Mexico, in the state of Quintana Roo at the Yucatan peninsula.

The dive center location allows access to the most beautiful mix of turquoise Caribbean sea, white sands, secret lagoons, underwater caves and wonders, Mayan ruins and jungle adventure, as well as the magical pueblo of Tulum and of course a world class yoga studio.
Instructors & Dive masters Alex Álvarez is a civil engineer from UNAM. After working professionally in Mexico City for 3 years, he came to Tulum in 1991 and opened the first dive shop in Tulum, Acuatic Tulum, in 1993 and has been a leader in the local dive community ever since. PHYSICALlY DISABLED DIVERS Our dive team is committed to sharing the adventure with everyone! Any individual who has previous scuba training, and can produce a clear medical waiver authorized by a licensed physician, can come dive with us :)
Equipment Description All of our equipment recieves regular service and maintenance, and our compressors and nirtox system comply with purification standards.

We have three vehicles to transport you comfortably to your dive site. Transport to Dive Sites is all included.
