Scuba diving in La Paz

La Paz is a city on the Baja California peninsula located on the largest gulf of the Sea of Cortez. Manuel Márquez de León International Airport is located here. La Paz is an ideal place for diving due to its virgin underwater life, its caves and stone islands and its remoteness from major cities. There are opportunities to observe dolphins, sea lions and a variety of fish species while diving here, namely off the islands of Espiritu Santo and Serralvo. Wreck diving is recommended in the area because of the suitable locations of the sunken objects. There is a great opportunity to spot whale sharks here in March.
