The Deep Andaman Queen is operated by a friendly dive crew with over 15 years of experience diving in Thailand. Offering up to 4 dives per day, the boat takes you to fantastic diving locations, including the best dive sites of the Similan Islands. Expect to see whale sharks, reef sharks, amazing macro life, and untouched coral reefs.

Boat Interior

The liveaboard offers a variety of cabins to suit every diver. Stay in one of the standard cabins on the lower deck, share a quad room with other divers, or choose a Master cabin and enjoy magnificent ocean views from its panoramic windows. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning and 220-volt electricity. Between and after dives, relax in the boat's spacious salon, which features cozy, comfortable couches. The sun deck includes a shaded area with sun loungers and an open section for sunbathing.

Dive Deck

The dive deck is the pride of the Deep Andaman Queen team. It is spacious enough to accommodate all divers and is divided into two levels with a very comfortable kitting-up area. The deck also features a separate dive platform, two freshwater showers for rinsing equipment, and a separate tank for rinsing cameras. The boat is equipped with a Coltri Sub Nitrox membrane, making Nitrox available for divers with EANx certification.

Dive at Similans

Diving at the Similan Islands is an extraordinary experience. The Similans are home to a huge variety of marine creatures, including leopard sharks, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, batfish, moray eels, snappers, barracudas, triggerfish, surgeonfish, and unicornfish. The underwater landscape features huge granite boulders, canyons covered with corals, and a vibrant marine life including turtles, barracudas, batfish, and octopuses.

Itineraries

Deep Andaman Queen's itineraries include popular Thailand dive sites such as Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock, and Koh Bon Island:

  • Koh Tachai: Known for its canyons and overhangs covered with large sea fans, this site offers encounters with manta rays and whale sharks.
  • Richelieu Rock: Famous for its soft white and purple corals, Richelieu Rock is one of the best dive sites in Thailand.
  • Koh Bon Island: Renowned for its high likelihood of manta ray sightings.

When to Go

The best time to dive in the Andaman Sea is from the end of autumn until April, with March considered the warmest month. Water temperatures during this time are nearly 30°C (86°F) at the surface and 27-28°C (81-82°F) deeper down.

Do it!
The Deep Andaman Queen was the best of diving the Similan and Surin islands. Their infrastructure gives you the best possible dive experience. The only challenge I had was getting on and off the Liveaboard on the dives. It challenged me in every aspect with different scenarios at every sites. The crew was very accommodating and will pair you with your experience level. The staff was nice and the instructors are very thorough on their teaching capabilities. I have over 1000+ dives as a recreational master diver and dove in 7 different seas and I’m impressed with their instructors. So, if you thinking of doing an Advanced course, do it with them. You get the maximum dives and experience what you learn with the instructor and they will make sure you understand the skills. The food was good and plentiful. My favorite night was Hot Pot and Korean BBQ night. My favorite dive sites: The Dome, Richelieu Rock and Woosung Wreck. The best part of diving with Deep Andaman Queen is that there are 3 land expeditions. One is a sunset cruise around Similan island and 2 beach hikes with one that has a spectacular views.

Quick response in an emergency
I was satisfied with the food, kindness of the staff, safety, guide and cruise facilities. However, after the evening of the last day, there was a problem with Cruise's electrical facilities, so it was a little regrettable that the diving on the last day was done as two diving, not three diving, off Khao Lak by another daytrip diving boat. I might not have been able to dive, but it was fortunate that I did it twice with a quick response.
