Scuba diving in The Apartments


The Apartments is a dive site close to Sydney that is divided into two parts of the wall and the cathedral. There are many huge boulders full of crevices and holes and covered by soft and hard corals. Divers can explore small caves and a plateau with shallow spots around here.
When to go
It is possible to dive at the Apartments year-round, with the warmest water in summer, 24-27C/75-81F. The average sea temperature during winter is 16-18C/61-64F. The best visibility is from September to November.
What to see
The Apartments serve as home for large cuttlefish, leatherjackets, red morwongs, sea pike, snapper, Sergeant Bakers, and bream. Other species include silver sweeps, yellow-finned pomfrets, Port Jackson sharks, blue devilfish, and wobbegongs.
