All about Moore Reef dive site
Moore Reef is an outer reef near Cairns with easy-access coral gardens, bommies, and reef platforms. It has a bright, open feel and is often used for mixed snorkelling and diving experiences.
What to see
Expect coral gardens, giant clams, parrotfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, turtles, rays, reef sharks, and anemonefish. The shallower areas can be especially colourful in strong sunlight.
When To Go Diving
Diving is available year-round, with June to November commonly preferred for clarity and calmer dry-season weather. Water generally ranges from 24°C in winter to 29°C in summer.
