All about Keeper Reef dive site

Keeper Reef is part of the central Great Barrier Reef system, with reef slopes, coral gardens, and open-water edges. It works well for divers who want classic tropical reef scenery with room for both wide-angle views and small details.

What to see

Hard corals, soft corals, reef fish, turtles, reef sharks, rays, anemonefish, parrotfish, and fusiliers may be seen. Coral bommies often hold macro life such as shrimps and nudibranchs.

When To Go Diving

June to November is generally favoured for visibility, while water temperatures range from about 24°C in winter to 29°C in summer. Conditions depend strongly on wind, tide, and mooring location.
