Fun Azul III Liveaboard, Maldives

Fun Azul III was built in 2002 and renovated annually. Boat offer diving full range of dive trips on the Maldives from the Far North to Deep South. Price of domestic flights already included in the trip price for some itineraries. There are from 4 to 5 dive English or Chinese or Japanese speaking guides on board, to ensure your dive will be safe and interesting.

Boat interior and exterior

There are 8 cabins on the board that can accommodate 15 guests. 7 staterooms are located on the lower deck, 2 cabins have twin beds, other supplied with bunk beds. On the main deck, there is a small cabin for single occupancy. All rooms have a shower with hot and cold water and air conditioning.

Boat’s salon has a restaurant area where gourmet meals are served and a bar. It’s spacious and comfortable to relax after the diving day. Boat’s guest can also rest on the top deck equipped with sun loungers.

Diving

There are 4 to 5 dive guides on board, so divers will dive in small groups. Guides speak English, Chinese and Japanese. Boat equipped with a nitrox membrane. Equipment items can be rented on the board.

Safety and navigation

Fun Azu III equipped with all necessary safety gear Oxygen, firefighting equipment, life jackets and first aid kits.

Diving features

Diving itineraries of fun Azul III include the full range of diving destinations of Maldives. Explore Northern atolls that feature unspoiled black corals, sponges, gorgeous table corals, and fans. It is also possible to meet tiger sharks there. Of course, central atoll can be visited. You can choose either Full tri that will include Ari Atolls, Male Atolls and Baa atoll with Hanifaru Bay. Or you can combine a Short trip to your resort staying. It’s up to you, the boat offers both options. But one of the most exciting itineraries Fun Azul III have on her list is trips to Deep South. The price already includes domestic flight and hotel accommodation prior to departure so you don’t have to worry about that and can focus on the diving. Deep South Atoll is worth of visiting. A large number of shark species including tiger sharks, silkies, grey reef sharks and white tip sharks can be spotted.

When to Go

December to May when the sea on its calmest is the best season to visit Central Atoll of Maldives. North atolls suits for diving all year round due to mild weather, except June and July. Deep South Atolls features strong currents, bit diving is possible all year round if you are an experienced diver. Water temperature can be cooler than in other regions.
