Five Rocks, a dive site in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, is called so because of the huge coral accumulation in the form of real rocks spread out over a large area, starting at the depth of 4m/13ft and reaching up to to 25m/82ft deep. It takes a short boat trip from the nearest beach to get to the site. Once here, however, divers will be delighted to find good water visibility and a wide variety of marine life. Underwater photographers will be pleasantly surprised as well. Several schools of reef fish, morays, lobsters, crabs and octopuses drift among wide variety of sponges and soft corals of different shapes and colors.
