The Cave is an L shape 30m/98ft tunnel that lies right beneath Gato Island and features some exciting overhangs and swimthroughs. It is possible to go down from one side of the island and come out from another one. The exciting part waits on the surface inside the cave, as many bats can be seen there. The current is usually quite light, but can increase inside the tunnel.

When To Go Diving

Because of the rainy season that lasts from October till January, it is better to dive this cave during the months of March till May. The air temperature is often around 27-29C/81-84F, while the water temperature can range from 23C/73F to 28C/82F.

What to see

The Cave is a home to different cave critters like crabs, lobsters and shrimps. The fish here include puffer fish, blue tangs and cardinal fish, but the most important guests are white tip sharks swimming around the divers.
