Butcher’s Bank suggests a raised reef or bank where fish gather along the edge of the structure. It has a more open-water feel than a shallow garden, especially when current brings movement across the reef.
What to see
Divers may see jacks, barracuda, snappers, grunts, groupers, reef fish, sponges, sea fans, and possible eagle rays or turtles along the bank.
When To Go Diving
Best conditions are often from March to August, while April and May can be especially reliable. Water is generally around 24–29°C, and visibility often reaches about 30 metres in settled weather.
