Mariposa Banks suggests a raised reef-bank system, where coral structure and open-water edges can attract more fish movement. It has a broader, slightly more exposed character than shallow bay sites.
What to see
Divers may see schooling grunts, snappers, jacks, barracuda, reef fish, sponges, sea fans, turtles, eagle rays, and occasional larger predators.
When To Go Diving
March to August usually offers the best sea state and visibility. Water is generally around 24–29°C, with good visibility common around offshore banks.
