Half Moon Bay, near Roatán’s West End, is a sheltered area with easy access to reef and wall diving. It has a relaxed island feel, with coral gardens close to shore and deeper structure nearby.
What to see
Reef fish, sea fans, sponges, parrotfish, angelfish, grunts, snappers, turtles, eagle rays, and moray eels may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Diving is possible year-round, with March to August often giving calmer seas and better visibility. Water temperatures usually sit around 24–29°C.
