Port Royal, on Roatán’s east side, has a quieter and more remote character than the busier west-side reefs. The area is associated with walls, slopes, and less-crowded reef diving.
What to see
Reef walls, sponges, sea fans, groupers, snappers, jacks, turtles, eagle rays, moray eels, and schooling fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best conditions depend on wind and boat access, with March to August often more settled. Water is usually around 24–29°C, with visibility often strong when seas are calm.
