The Ya Nui dive site is a picturesque cove beach south of Phuket, a little bit of a secret known by the locals. This spot is better for easy snorkeling and fishing than for scuba diving, but the reef and area surrounding the small island of Koh Keyao Noi (700m/2297ft from the shore) could be interesting for diving, even at night. This dive site offers a unique combination of relaxing on the beach and diving. To get to Ya Nui Beach by car, take the road from Nai Harn, passing the propeller view point.

When To Go Diving

The prime season for scuba diving is during the dry months from January to April. The low season starts from May to December. The average sea water temperature is 29C/84F.

What to see

A coral reef and rocks shelter blue-ringed angelfish, bannerfish, leopard sharks, whale sharks, lionfish, hawksbill turtles, batfish, moray eels, clownfish, stingrays, sea fans, pufferfish, red-tailed butterflyfish, and scorpionfish.
