Similan Islands
Boulder City, in the Similan Islands, is a dramatic boulder site with swim-around routes, open water, and strong wide-angle scenery. It has a more adventurous Andaman profile than sheltered reef gardens.
What to see
Granite boulders, swim-through-style routes, trevally, barracuda, reef fish, rays, moray eels, soft corals, and occasional manta rays or whale sharks in the wider region may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from November to April, with February to April often giving the most stable Similan conditions. Water is commonly around 29–30°C, with visibility often 25–40 metres.
