Yong Hua Wreck
Yong Hua is a 75m/246ft long fish processing boat that sank after an on-board fire in 1996. To get to the wreck divers usually start their descent along a mooring line attached to the top of the wreck at 28m/92ft depth. Penetration is not permitted for safety reasons, because currents can be strong.
When To Go Diving
The dry season starts in November and lasts until May. The rainy season starts in June and lasts till the end of October. The average water temperature is around 29C/84F.
What to see
This largely intact wreck has become home to a host of reef life. Divers may find schools of lionfish,fusiliers, snapper, as well as groupers, tuna, some scorpionfish and hundreds of giant barracudas. The wreck, especially the top of the wreck is overgrown with soft and black corals, sea fans and gorgonians.
