Shark Fin Reef, in the Similan Islands, is known for granite boulder formations and a more open, dramatic reefscape. It has a clean, blue-water feel and can be impressive in strong visibility.

What to see

Granite formations, reef fish, fusiliers, trevally, barracuda, moray eels, rays, soft corals, sea fans, and occasional reef sharks may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from November to April, with peak conditions often from February to April. Water is usually around 29–30°C, and visibility can reach 25–40 metres.
