All about Shark Mountain dive site

Shark Mountain suggests a more dramatic reef structure where shark sightings are possible around a raised bommie or pinnacle. It should be approached as a current-aware site, with conditions checked locally.

What to see

Reef sharks may be seen, along with trevally, barracuda, fusiliers, soft corals, gorgonians, coral trout, and turtles. The “mountain” structure may also attract schooling fish.

When To Go Diving

Best in settled weather and suitable current, often during June to November for clearer water. Water temperatures are typically in the mid-20s to high-20s Celsius.
