Bob’s Bommie is a classic named bommie dive, likely centred on a coral mound with fish life stacked from base to crown. It offers a simple but satisfying route for photographers and relaxed reef divers.
What to see
Coral trout, fusiliers, damselfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, and soft corals may be seen. Turtles or reef sharks may pass along the bommie edge.
When To Go Diving
June to November generally provides better visibility, while December to February brings the warmest water. Expect about 24–29°C on tropical Queensland reefs.
