A modern and Well-equipped Thailand liveaboard, this vessel offers divers an opportunity to explore some of the Andaman Sea’ s most spectacular underwater sites. This Thailand diving liveaboard has been designed to cater to both comfort and adventure. The air-conditioned cabins feature Ample storage and en-suite bathrooms. There are comfortable common areas to lounge around between dives: from the shaded dining area to the open sun deck, down to the comfortable indoor lounge.

Trouble-free diving takes place on the dive deck with organized gear stations. Every trip makes up to 15 dives and includes options for Night diving, whereby completely different marine creatures come out to play. Divers have a choice of two itineraries to some of Thailand' s best sites, Similan Islands and Richelieu Rock, showing a wide array of marine life, including Mantas and leopard sharks. The South Andaman route covers Hin Muang, Hin Daeng, and Koh Bida Nok, featuring steep walls and pinnacles that attract large pelagic species.

What to wear while scuba diving in Thailand?

The water temperature does range throughout the year, though always stays in a bracket between 27°-29°C; hence, always warm enough a long 3mm wetsuit might prove helpful for that much warmth requirement and for also saving yourself against scratches on reef or other harmful surfaces. Still, personal tolerance to temperature is different, and for some divers a shorty wetsuit or rash guard might be preferred in order to get more freedom of movement during warmer months. Wetsuits also protect the fragile dive equipment while packed in suitcases. Some Thailand liveaboards have wetsuit rentals available, but it's always best to bring your own to ensure the perfect fit and comfort

What's diving like in Thailand?

Liveaboards diving in Thailand really means diving on a variety of underwater landscapes: from dramatic rocky pinnacles and steep walls to sheltered coral reefs and sandy bays. The best destinations are generally considered the Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, and the Southern Andaman Sea-each of them having specific characteristics. Some of these sites, such as Richelieu Rock in the Surin Islands, are famous for encounters with whale sharks, while Hin Daeng and Hin Muang off the Southern Andaman Sea regularly see mantas. Similan Islands can offer everything from swim-throughs and coral gardens to different marine life, making them a highlight for most Thailand liveaboard cruises. While many sites are suitable for all levels, some locations experience strong currents or deeper depths, making them more appropriate for Advanced Open Water divers. Visibility varies from 10 to 40+ meters depending on factors such as tides, season, and weather conditions. Open Water (or equivalent) certification along with at least 10 logged dives is the minimum requirement, though an Advanced Open Water certification is highly recommended to make the most of Thailand's vibrant coral reefs, large pelagics and deeper sites. This can often be completed aboard a liveaboard while seeing the best sites

What is the water temperature in Thailand?

The Andaman Sea, along the coast of Thailand, has warm water temperature throughout the year. Average monthly temperatures are in the range of 26-29°C. The coolest months are December to March with a little lower temperature at about 26°C. From April to November, it warms up to about 28°C - 29°C. These warm waters do mean longer dive times, but multiple dives do result in some heat loss so a hood and/or thermal underwear is advised to keep certain divers warm. Some Thailand liveaboards offer wetsuit rental, but if you are susceptible to cold, a 5mm wetsuit would be better for some, especially on longer dive safaris

Are all dive sites suitable for snorkeling?

Some of these places are just simply not appropriate due to water depth and further factors related to currents and surfaces. In that regard, popular places include Thailand: Racha Yai and Racha Noi and also the Phi Phi Islands offer generally shallow reefs in tranquil conditions coupled with plentiful underwater life for maximum snorkeling gratification. Snorkeling is not such a good idea over either Similan or Surin since either the currents are strong, or the reefs are deeper. In general, however, snorkeling is pretty good in areas with shallow reef off island beaches, and even non-divers could enjoy the vibrant corals and reef fish. Most Thailand liveaboards offer snorkeling as an option for non-diving guests, although availability again depends on the itinerary. If snorkeling is a priority, it's best to check specific trip details in advance

Comfortable boat, lovely crew, fantastic trip!
I really enjoyed the Seatopia liveaboard - the ensuite cabin was simple but had everything we needed, including aircon and a relatively spacious bathroom. The dive deck was well organized, the crew took excellent care of us, and the food was simply out of this world. There were some tiny opportunities for improvement here and there: even though gearing up was setup by groups, the later groups somehow usually ended up feeling unnecessarily rushed, and on a few dives there was some unnecessary swimming against the current, which could have absolutely been avoided. In any case, it was a fantastic trip and great value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to join another Seatopia adventure.

The boat is new, well maintained and comfortable.
The boat is new, well maintained and comfortable. You have fatboys to sit and relax on the top deck as well in front of the boat (I think this was not shown on the pictures when I was booking). The boat and dive crew is great, very friendly and proffessional. For diving, you are in smaller groups (4 people per DM) and usually each group has a little bit different route, so it does not feel crowded under water. The food is of very good quality usually with a wide choise between different types of meat and vegetarian.

Great
I had the pleasure of participating in the South Andaman expedition in early October, so the weather wasn't ideal, but the captain brought us back to land safely. Everything was well-organized – excellent communication with the organizer, transportation to and from the boat. The crew – both diving and boat – were very friendly and helpful. The meals were delicious and plentiful. My only regret is that they didn't have logbook stamps, which is very important for an old-fashioned diver like me.
