Laha Village in Ambon Bay is one of Indonesia’s iconic muck-diving areas. It is famous for rare critters, dark sand, and excellent macro photography.

What to see

Psychedelic frogfish may be possible, along with rhinopias, frogfish, mimic octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, nudibranchs, seahorses, shrimps, and crabs.

When To Go Diving

Ambon is generally best from October to May, while bay muck sites can be productive across much of the year. Water is usually around 26–29°C.
