All about El Ancla dive site

El Ancla is a Caño Island site that reaches moderate depths and is often suitable for divers who want marine life without a highly technical profile. The name points to an anchor feature, but the real appeal is the reef life gathered around rocky Pacific structure.

What to see

Whitetip reef sharks, snappers, scorpionfish, reef fish, moray eels, rays, and schooling fish may be seen. The site can also reveal camouflaged bottom life around the rocks.

When To Go Diving

The best months are usually December to May, when Caño Island conditions are generally calmer. Water is commonly around 26–29°C, with visibility often strong in settled weather.
