Davy Jones once was a cargo ship. Built in traditional style with ironwood, mahogany, red teak, she was refurbished to serve as a diving liveaboard. Davy Jones offers to visit the most amazing dive spots of Komodo just in 5 days, so you can combine the cruise to other activities rather on Komodo or visit other great destinations of Indonesia. The boat offers special photography facilities. Only 9 divers can be accommodated on board, so you can count on personal care and friendly atmosphere.
Boat interior
Davy Jones has 4 cabins. 2 staterooms on the upper deck and one cabin on the lower deck equipped with double beds and suited for double occupancy. There is also one triple cabin on the lower deck with 3 bunk beds.
Boat’s guest of the vessel has a special area to eat and socialize. Here you have a bar and galley where meals are served.
Dive Deck
Dive deck has all necessary equipment to make your diving comfortable a spacious dive deck to prepare for the dive and maintain equipment, compressors, adaptors, tenders to get to remote dive sites.
Safety and navigation
To ensure safety during the dive trip Davy Jones Liveaboard supplied with life rafts and vest, firуfighting equipment, first aid kits. Yacht's crew trained to manage emergency situations.
Diving features (itineraries)
Davy Jones itinerary is all about Komodo Island. Most exciting dive sites can be visited during the trip. An itinerary will be accommodated to diver’s level of experience and weather conditions. 4 or 5 dives can be done in one day, so you can be sure you will explore all interesting dive spots. Some of the cruises start or ends on Moyo Island. Thanks to the short duration of the trip, you can combine it with staying on the island.
Komodo is known as one of the world’s best diving destinations. You can meet all kinds of creatures here from tiny octopuses and pygmy horses to big reef sharks and mantas. Underwater landscapes are also diverse. Explore pinnacles and sea mount or dive along coral walls. Don' forget about famous Komodo dragons, leaves here from ancient times.
When to go
Komodo has two main seasons. Time frame from April to November is a dry season with water temperature 29- 31C and a light east wind. This time of the year is best for diving in Central and North Komodo. For visiting of South and Central Komodo is better to choose a time from December to March wet season. An average temperature varies from 29- 35C.
