All about Bommie Dive Site dive site
Bommie Dive Site is a straightforward tropical reef dive built around one or more coral bommies rising from sand or reef platform. These formations act like miniature cities, drawing fish, invertebrates, and predators into a compact area.
What to see
Anemonefish, damselfish, fusiliers, coral trout, parrotfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, and soft corals are likely subjects. Larger visitors may include turtles, rays, and whitetip reef sharks.
When To Go Diving
It can be dived year-round, with June to November often giving better visibility and December to February the warmest water. Expect around 24–29°C on the Great Barrier Reef.
