All about Anoe Itam dive site
Anoe Itam, meaning “black sand,” is a Pulau Weh coastal site with volcanic sand and macro potential. It is a different mood from the island’s current-swept reefs, better suited to slow searching.
What to see
Nudibranchs, shrimps, crabs, moray eels, gobies, reef fish, octopus, and small sand-dwelling species may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from October to May, with calm conditions useful for macro work. Water is usually 27–29°C.
