Yapak 1 is one of the best dive sites on Boracay. This site is for experienced divers only. The maximum depth here is 70m/230ft and there are strong currents around 2 knots.

When To Go Diving

The air temperature is 25-32C/77-90F from February to March and increases to 28-38C/82-100F from June to October. The average water temperature ranges from 24-29C/75-84F.

What to see

Whitetip and gray reef sharks, dogtooth tuna, grouper, Napoleon wrasses, and giant trevallies can be seen here.

A great dive site
First you drop in on a free decent to around 31 the current whisks you along from the start of the wall, the wall drops off to around 80m where you can catch the large fish below such as Tuna , Jacks , White tip sharks and Eagle rays, along the edge of the wall is Red Tooth Triggers, Bannerfish and Sweetlips, there is some good macro, but if you stop to take a look you will miss the chimney with your deco running out, just after half way you swing in over the plateau to see a congregation of large fish at the top of a wide ...
