The Padre Burgos Pier is a popular dive site known for its great opportunities to see and photograph some wonderful tiny creatures. Divers can dive at this site during the day or night, but mostly it is recommended for night diving. There is a huge number of smaller forms of marine life under the town’s pier, but divers need to be warned that there is also quite a bit of trash under the pier. Probably it has something to do with the presence of a lot of hiding places under all the trash, but surprisingly, those little creatures just love this place.
When To Go Diving
Divers can dive at Padre Burgos Pier all year round, because the water temperature is always warm here, fluctuating between 25-30C/77-86F throughout the year.
What to see
Colorful nudibranchs, frogfish, razorfish, slipper crabs, seahorses, stargazers, reptilian eels, squid, and blue-ringed octopi are just some of the wonderful creatures that can be seen under the pier.
