Wolf Rock sits off Double Island Point and is formed by volcanic pinnacles, gutters, and gullies dropping to around 38 metres. It is a powerful big-animal site, shaped by current, depth, and shifting visibility.

What to see

Grey nurse sharks are present year-round, with higher numbers often observed from December to July. Reef manta rays are commonly seen from March to October, along with eagle rays, Queensland grouper, leopard sharks, and wobbegongs.

When To Go Diving

Diving is possible year-round, though conditions can be challenging. Water temperatures range from about 19°C in August to 27°C in February, while visibility can change quickly from 5–50 metres, with 10–15 metres common.
