Turtles

Turtle Crossing features two sandy plateaus at 6m/20ft and at 13m/45ft with channels of coral. Then the site drops off to a sloping wall, descending beyond recreational limits, and offers an abundance of marine species along turtle highway. This is an ideal site for snorkeling and scuba diving. There are lots of interesting coral and sponge formations and most marine life is seen around 9-18m/30-60ft.

When To Go Diving

Diving is available all year round with water temperature varying from 26C to 29C/80-84F.

What to see

Divers can spot schools of sergeant majors and Brazilian chubs, large green turtles, occasionally a hawksbill turtle, lobsters, groupers, octopuses, jawfish, flounders and trigger fish.

Reviews about Turtle Crossing

No turtles that day BUT...
Despite no turtle sightings we did still have a great dive with lovely coral, a triggerfish and the fact that it was a wall dive added the ability to go a bit deeper while still having some great sealife in the shallower sections. Will have to go back again to find those turtles!
