Snake Reef

Snake Reef is a site on the West coast of Mauritius (near Flic en Flac). The average depth of the site is 18m/59ft with maximum at 25m/30ft. Water visibility is about 25m/30ft.

When To Go Diving

Diving is possible year-round, but the best season runs from November to April, when the night temperature is about 25C/77F, and 30C/86F during the day.

What to see

This dive site consists of a series of coral and rock formations which extend from the bottom like miniature pinnacles. This is where the dive site gets its name as they look like snakes ascending from the sand. A variety of tropical fish, including scorpion fish, stone fish and moray eels can be found.
