All about Popo Betlehem dive site

Popo Betlehem has the quiet, detail-rich character of a North Sulawesi macro site. Rather than a wide reef panorama, the dive rewards patience, good buoyancy, and a careful eye over sand, rubble, and small coral patches.

What to see

Divers may see frogfish, nudibranchs, pipefish, seahorses, shrimp gobies, decorator crabs, scorpionfish, juvenile fish, and small octopus species.

When To Go Diving

Best conditions are possible year-round, though drier months can bring slightly better visibility. Water is usually around 26–29°C, with visibility often between 5 and 20 metres in muck-style areas.
