Maluku Kandu is a dive site near Meemu Atoll, Maldives that with an interesting underwater landscape. There are a few submerged pinnacles here, which are covered with soft and hard corals of all shapes.

When to go

The most favorable conditions for diving around Maluku Kandu are from January to May, while June through November has a lot of rain. The temperature of the air averages 28-30C/82-86F, while the water is around 26-29C/79-84F most of the time.

What to see

Maluku Kandu serves as home for gray reef sharks and huge manta rays. In addition, it is easy to spot barracudas, large tuna, parrotfish, angelfish, snapper, and jacks around here. The smaller species include numerous nudibranchs, starfish, clownfish, and crabs.
