Cave

The Caves are located on the western side of Rasdhoo Atoll, Maldives. This is the farthest dive site in the atoll, but it is definitely worth the visit. The dive site features a beautiful wall, where some overhanging coral blocks at the depths between 15-20m/49-66ft have created a number of tunnels, small caverns, and swim-throughs. The caverns are mostly inhabited by moray eels, shoals of glassfish, and other reef fish, and sometimes, when divers go inside the caverns, it is possible to find resting whitetip sharks or even nurse sharks.

When To Go Diving

Diving at this site is possible all year round, but the water conditions are better from December to May. The water temperature averages 26-29C/79-84F throughout the year.

What to see

While exploring a number of interesting overhangs at this site, divers will see a variety of small and large marine creatures, including moray eels, glassfish, stingrays, eagle rays, whitetip reef sharks, and even nurse sharks.
