Diving in Rasdhoo
When to go to Rasdhoo
It is possible to dive Rasdhoo all year round but the recommended are the period December to May, when the seas are at their calmest. The average air temperature is around 30C/86F. Water temperatures averages around 26 to 29C/78 to 84F. Visibility is around 15-30m/49-98ft all year round.
What to see
The diversity of the species is impressive, including small clown fish, huge manta rays, sharks, turtles, eagle rays, morays, colourful parrot fish and many more beautiful creatures.
Scuba diving in Rasdhoo
Rasdhoo is located at the North of Ari Atoll. The closest airport is in Male, that is connected by ferry to Rasdhoo. Rasdhoo has a lot of attractions for divers. Diving here is available for divers of all levels. The waters off Rasdhoo are full of colourful and lively fish. One of the most popular dive sites is Hammerhead Point, where divers can see lots of schooling hammerhead sharks. Besides sites with a rich marine life, divers can discover here reefs, caves, pinnacles and wreck. Among the dive sites in the area are: Rasdhoo Madivaru, House Reef, Caves, Three Palms, Fan Reef.
