Lucy luxury yacht offers to explore diving destinations of Djibouti and Sudan. You can expect to meet such a variety of underwater creatures and pristine colorful corals. Boat’s crew meets the highest standards of qualification.

Boat interior and exterior

Lucy can accommodate 20 guests on her board. 8 double cabins are located on the lower deck and two cabins are on the main deck. All staterooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms, also a fridge and a range of complimentary toiletries. Salon area of Lucy liveaboard has air conditioning, big panoramic windows as well as the dining room. Boat’s guests can stay there after diving to relax. There is also an HD cinema surround system and a bar on the board.

Diving

Boat supplied with 3 Bauer compressors. There is also and Nitrox Membrane. Lucy’s diving deck is spacious, has a sitting area with a number of storage boxes and hanging for wetsuits. All diving gear can be rented onboard.

Safety and navigation

Lucy has all necessary safety equipment like life rafts and jackets, fully stocked first aid kit. There is a GPS, Radar and depth sounder on the yachts board.

Diving features

Lucy’s itineraries include some of the best of Djibouti and Sudan. Both countries famous for pristine coral reefs. Lucy’s trip programs include some of the most well-known diving destinations of Djibouti like Isles Mouchas Gulf of Tadjourah and Seven Brothers. You can expect to see a combination of amazing drop offs and untouched soft and hard corals and gardens as well as pelagic species: giant jack fish, manta rays, mobulas, snappers. Gulf of Tadjourah famous for a big chance of meeting whale sharks. Especially they are common for the time from October to February. Large reefs, lagoons, and pinnacles can be seen during the trips to Sudan as well as recognized Umbria wreck.

When to go

Djibouti is a year round destination although summer temperatures can be rather hot. Average water temperature ranges from 26 29 C, visibility is from 5 to 20 m. Best time to dive with whale sharks is from October to February. As for Sudan June to September is the hottest time. Time from November to June has better visibility and can be considered as a high season.

Program

Day 1: Meet & greet at the airport. Group transfer to the port. Onboarding, meeting the crew & briefing. Day 2: Check dive at Moucha Island, second dive at Faon wreck, overnight at Mousha islands. Day 3: Monday: first dive in Ras Eiro, snorkelling with whale sharks, second dive at Ile Du Requins, night dive and overnight in Ras Eiro. Day 4: The first dive at The Dom, snorkelling with whale sharks, second dive at Baie des Etoiles, overnight at la Baie de l'Etoile Wednesday: first dive at La Vierge Rouge, second dive at The Crack, snorkelling with whale sharks, la Baie de l'Etoile. Day 5: First dive at Sec de la Pass, second dive at Le Boulevard du Cecap, snorkelling with whale sharks, overnight at Ras Korali Day 6: Snorkelling with whale sharks, second dive at Faon wreck, night in Djibouti Bay, with a visit to the city Day 7: Saturday: breakfast on board, transfer to the airport or to your excursion tour such Lac Assal, the lowest point in Africa (-155meters) with a luxury coach featuring climate control, DVD, Wi-Fi, toilet etc. Day 8: Check-out from the yacht, group transfer to the airport. Routes can be affected by adverse weather conditions and unforeseen events, force majeure or other similar reasons
