The waters around the Kostrena dive site are rich in marine life, including schools of dentex, bream, colorful sea urchins, lots of crabs and lobsters, gorgonians, sponges and beautiful anemones. The depths range from the average 20m/65ft to the maximum 50m/164ft. Currents are mild, and visibility is about 5-10m/16-32ft.
When To Go Diving
Kostrena combines a mild Mediterranean climate with the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea. Water temperatures range from 9-12C/48-53F in winter and around 25C/77F in summer. Diving is best from early summer to the beginning of the autumn.
