Josephina sank in 1915. The wreck lies in the upright position and it is possible to dive through some of its parts. The few remains of fishing nets that cover the wreck add to the diving experience and do not present any danger. The maximum depth of this site is 43m/141ft and the visibility is good.

When to go

Winters at this location are mild and summers are dry and warm. Best time to travel is the period from May to September, when the water temperature ranges from 23-32C/73-89F.

What to see

The vessel lies on a sandy bottom west of the entrance to the port of Pula in a belt of defence protected once by a minefield, which is why all the wrecks which met their doom in this belt lie in the straight line.
