All about Plavnik dive site
Plavnik, near Krk and Cres, is known for caves, walls, and clear northern Adriatic water. It offers a more dramatic profile than many easy coastal sites, especially where rock formations drop sharply into the blue.
What to see
Cave openings, walls, sponges, gorgonians, wrasse, bream, damselfish, octopus, scorpionfish, conger eels, and lobsters may be seen.
When To Go Diving
June to September is usually best in the northern Adriatic. Water is warmest in summer, while visibility is often excellent around the island.
