All about Hunter ridge dive site

Hunter Ridge suggests a ridge-style Pacific dive, where current moves along a raised rock formation and attracts fish activity. It is likely more suited to confident divers when current is present.

What to see

Jacks, snappers, barracuda, rays, turtles, groupers, moray eels, and schooling fish may be seen. The ridge may also attract hunting predators when baitfish are present.

When To Go Diving

December to May is generally best for clearer coastal water, though current-driven sites can be productive in different seasons. Water is usually around 26–29°C, with cooler thermoclines possible at depth.
