All about Grutinha dive site

Grutinha, meaning “little cave,” is likely a small cave or cavern-style site shaped by Cape Verde’s volcanic coastline. It should be described as a topography dive, with shadowed openings, rock texture, and marine life sheltering inside the structure.

What to see

Divers may see soldierfish, moray eels, scorpionfish, lobsters, crabs, shrimps, sponges, nudibranchs, and reef fish around the cave entrance. Turtles may pass outside the rock formations.

When To Go Diving

Calm seas are important, with April to November generally offering the best conditions. Water is usually around 22–27°C, and visibility often ranges from 15–30 metres.
