All about Ilheu dive site

Ilheu suggests a small islet dive, where rock drops into clear Atlantic water and fish gather around the island edge. The site likely offers a mix of reef slope, boulders, and open-water movement.

What to see

Look for schooling fish, jacks, barracuda, parrotfish, wrasse, moray eels, scorpionfish, sponges, and nudibranchs. Rays or turtles may appear along the islet’s sandy margins.

When To Go Diving

April to November is usually the strongest season, with warmer water and better visibility. Water temperatures are generally around 22–27°C, while visibility often sits around 15–30 metres.
