All about 3 Grutas dive site
3 Grutas is another name for Sal’s Three Caves area, where divers explore three cave openings along a volcanic wall. It offers a good mix of topography, fish life, and shadowed spaces without needing to be presented as a technical cave dive.
What to see
Lobsters, turtles, reef fish, scorpionfish, nurse sharks, crabs, soldierfish, and shrimps may be seen. The cave entrances and light effects are the defining features.
When To Go Diving
Best months are generally April to November, especially when wind and swell are low. Water is commonly around 22–27°C during the main season, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
