All about Farol Baixo dive site

Farol Baixo is a shallow lighthouse-area site, likely offering reef structure, rock formations, and easier depths. It has a coastal Cape Verde feel, where sunlight, volcanic rock, and Atlantic fish life create a bright, accessible dive.

What to see

Divers may see parrotfish, damselfish, wrasse, trumpetfish, moray eels, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, and small crustaceans. Turtles may occasionally pass through shallow reef areas.

When To Go Diving

April to November is usually best, although shallow sites can be dived year-round in calm weather. Water is commonly around 22–27°C in the warmer season, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
