All about Algodoeiro dive site
Algodoeiro is a Sal Island dive site close enough to the island’s southern dive circuit to offer accessible volcanic reef scenery. Its character is likely gentle and textured, with rocky reef, sand patches, and small marine life tucked into crevices.
What to see
Divers may see moray eels, scorpionfish, trumpetfish, parrotfish, wrasse, pufferfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, and crabs. Rays or turtles may pass nearby in calm conditions.
When To Go Diving
Diving is possible year-round, with April to November generally strongest. Water is usually around 22–27°C in the better season, while visibility often ranges from 15–30 metres.
