All about La punta dive site

La Punta is likely a point-style volcanic reef, where current and rock shape bring fish activity close to the reef edge. It has a slightly more open-water feel than a protected bay site, especially when visibility is clear and schooling fish move along the point.

What to see

Look for schooling fish, jacks, barracuda, parrotfish, wrasse, moray eels, scorpionfish, sponges, and small reef creatures. Current may bring larger passing fish along the edge.

When To Go Diving

April to November is usually the strongest period, with warmer water and better visibility. Expect around 22–27°C water in peak months and visibility commonly around 15–30 metres.
