All about Caldeirinha dive site

Caldeirinha is a Sal Island site with a name that suggests a small volcanic bowl or basin-like formation. It is likely a textured reef dive, where rock contours create sheltered pockets for fish and macro life.

What to see

Look for wrasse, parrotfish, trumpetfish, moray eels, scorpionfish, pufferfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, crabs, and sponges. Sand pockets may reveal rays or small bottom-dwelling species.

When To Go Diving

April to November is usually the strongest period, with warmer water and better visibility. Expect around 22–27°C water, with visibility often 15–30 metres in settled conditions.
